14:00 - Reception in Giethoorn
Reception with coffee & tea, various kinds of tea, fresh mint and honey, lemonade for the kids. A board full of arretjescake to enjoy.
14:30 - Off on an Escape Ship
Hold on tight, because this is going to be an amazing experience! You will embark on an exciting adventure on a Giethoorn whisper punt, carrying the authentic Reed Cutter Escape box with you. Together with a group of six to eight brave explorers, you will try to solve the mystery of the legendary reed cutter DirkJan. Can you crack the code and solve this brain-boggling puzzle while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way? Only time will tell!
The story of reed cutter DirkJan begins like this:
In the rustic village of Giethoorn, where the reed stands tall and the air is filled with the chirping of birds, Dirk-Jan works as a reed cutter who has dedicated his entire life to harvesting reed. One day he discovers a mysterious chest in the reed, covered with dust and dirt. Despite his many efforts, he cannot open the chest or discover its contents. The mystery of the chest remains unsolved and Dirk-Jan is determined to find out the truth.
And this is where you come in. You must help DirkJan open the chest and reveal the secret. By answering questions, solving puzzles, and completing tasks, you will find clues needed to open the chest.
But be warned, it won't be easy. The tasks will become increasingly challenging and the clues harder to find. So, are you ready to unravel the mystery of the chest? Brace yourself and let the adventure begin!
17:00 - Prize ceremony
The winners are celebrated and photographed by you while toasting with Fanfarebitter.
Then everyone receives a nice glass of our homemade ice tea or our own Geytbier.
17:30 - Tuba barbecue
A Tuba barbecue is ready for you to grill, including 100% Vechtdal beef hamburgers, vegetable skewers with zucchini, red onion and bell pepper, chicken satay sticks, marinated roast pork, American spare ribs, salads & sauces, homemade fries, farmhouse bread with a dip
